Hello, lesson 2 already ;o)
As the title says, the theme is seamless tiling.
I started again by making a tag, I was going to use the same texture for my text background but found it was way too heavy.
I picked these five colours from my image.
The patterned background tile was made from the darker blue and the reddish brown. I floodfilled a 200x200 square with the blue
and sprayed the other colour on with the airbrush tool, after that I applied the filter dsb flux bubbles. I made the tile seamless with a program
called 20/20, which you can download here
The tile I used as the text background was made with the paler blue. I again floodfilled a 200x200 square with the colour
and then applied the filter Xero Fritillary, had to play around with the settings a bit until I deemed it suitable. Again the tile was made seamless
with 20/20.
All I had left to do was a striptile using a gradient. As colours I used the purple and the darkest colour, which I also used as my text colour.
I switched to Gradient, with the settings #1 Foreground-Background, linear, angle 0, repeat 1.
Finally I made some buttons, I used my original swatch, doubled the height, copied, flipped and mirrored the image.
Then I merged them, and lowered the opacity to 84. Added the text in the same font as I used in my tag, but this time I used the
colours of the text and the background just behind it.
