A Scrap Kit, mine is a fab freebie called Video Killed The Radiostar by Grunge & Glitter.
Filters Eye Candy 4000 and Richard Rosenman Solid Frame
Masks 92 and 248 by WeeScotsLass
Font(s) of choice.
You should have some knowledge of working with layers for this.
Open your tube in PSP and the kit in windows. Open a new image 600x600 px. Paste paper 1 and apply WSLMask_248, merge group, paste paper 6 and apply WSLMask_92, merge group.
Resize the star 95%. Drag the Discoball and Bracelet into PSP. Paste the bracelet, resize 60% and 80%. Paste the Discoball, resize 50% and 80%.
Place the ball to the left, take the Pen Tool: Draw lines and polylines, create on vector, width 5, line style repeating arrow, stroke gradient in silver.
Draw a line between the bracelet and the ball. Convert to raster layer. Effects/Edge Effects-enhance. Merge the line with the ball. Duplicate the ball and mirror it. Duplicate again
and resize 80%, place somewhere in the center, make sure they all hang off the bracelet. Merge the balls with the bracelet and add a dropshadow.
Take the boombox, resize 75% twice and paste onto the tag. Take the raster deform tool, hold shift on your keyboard and pull the top and bottom nodes on one side, so it looks like it stands sideways.
See my tag for reference. Dropshadow. Now take the frame, resize 50% and paste it behind the bracelet. With your magic wand click in each hole and expand by 2,invert, paste paper 9 behind the frame.
Resize and place so you see a nice pattern through the frame, delete on your keyboard. Deslect. Rename that layer paper.
Now paste the TV onto your tag, resize 50%, take the freehand selection tool, surround the screen, paste the face of the tube as a new layer, mirror, invert selection and delete. Deselect.
Change the name of that layer to face. Now paste your full tube as a new layer on top. Apply Eyecandy 4000 ShadowLab, Setting short perspective shadow. Change the opacity to 60 and the overall blur to 6.
Add some more elements, I chose the ribbons. Crop merged opaque, and resize all layers 80%. Add paper 3 and bring it to the bottom, crop merged opaque again. Add a frame width 5 with Richard Rosenman Solid Frame to that layer.
Click in the frame with your magic wand and add an inner bevel and a dropshadow, deselect.
Now add the credits to your tag. Next we will work on the paper and the face layers.
1. Paper: Adjust/Add noise. Uniform, monochrome, 32%.
1. Face: Blend mode: Darken
Copy merged and paste as a new image, undo blend mode and noise on the original.
2. Paper: Change noise to 33%
2. Face: Blend mode: Multiply
Copy merged and paste as new layer onto the new tag. Back on first undo as above.
3. Paper: Change noise to 34%
3. Face: Blend mode: Hard Light
Copy merged, paste onto new tag, you can close the original one now.
Add your name as the top layer.
Open Animation shop. In PSP hide the bottom two of the tag layers and copy merged the name with the top layer. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Hide the open layer and unhide the middle tag layer, copy that merged with the name. In AS paste after current frame. Now the same with the last layer.
In AS edit/selct all, animation/frame properties 15. View animation. When happy save as a gif. If you don't like the speed, change the frame properties.
