Supplies:
Paintshop Pro (I use V9)
Tube of choice, mine is by Ismael Rac and used with a license you can get at his store.
Preset Shape Trinkets JL, if you don't have this use the font that it was made from.
Font(s) of choice, mine are TrinketsJL (if you don't have the shape), Grid Exercise and Miss Lankfort.
Filters Muras Meister Copies, Dynasty Plugins, Lokas Software, Eye Candy 5 Impact, AAA Frame. If you don't have any of these, please google for them.
Open a new canvas, 550x550 and floodfill with a color from your tube, I used pink. Set the foreground to a different colour, and the background to the one from the floodfill.
Go to the Preset Shapes and select the letter p, line style solid and width 4, alternatively type out the letter p with the font. Create as vector. Make sure it goes to the edges of your canvas.
Go to Objects/Align/center in canvas. Convert to raster layer. Apply Mura Meister Copies feedback (center) at the default setting.
In my plugins the dynasty filter made two entries, one as Dynasty Software and one as Dynasty Plugins.
For now you choose Dynasty Software Kissin Time at default. Dropshadow -2, -2, 57, 7 and 2, 2, 57, 7.
Duplicate the shape and move it up, duplicate that and flip. Merge those 3 layers. Duplicate. Go back to the original layer and apply Adjust/Blur/Radial Blur
with these settings.
To that you then apply Dynasty Plugins/ Left Light at default, and Dynasty Plugins/ Tomorrow with these settings.
Duplicate this layer and on the duplicate Adjust/Blur/Blur more. I also duplicated the shape layer and played with the blend modes. The bottom one is set to Luminance(L) and
the upper one to Saturation (L). Merge all visible. Paste your tube, move the bottom to the bottom edge. Apply Lokas Software/ 3D Shadow with these settings.
Draw out a rectangle with the foreground colour you used before as the background colour, for me it was turquoise from the hairclip. No stroke used. Place it at the bottom of the tag, about 20 px off the bottom edge.
Apply the filter Dynasty Software/Kissin Time again. Duplicate this and flip, move that up to the edge. Adjust/Blur/Blur, Distortion/ Curlicues with these settings.
10, 10 symmetric. 100, 50, clockwise. Set the blendmode to Soft Light.
Go back to the bottom rectangle.
Choose a font where all the letters are the same height. I used Grid Exercise, write out your name, create as vector. Convert to raster layer. If the writing is too tall, take the raster deform (pick tool) and activate the bottom rectangle.
Pull on the edges to make the rectangle taller, it should be 4 to 5 pixels bigger than the letters at the top and bottom, see my example.
Go back to the font layer, Selections/Select All, Selections/ Float, Selections/Defloat. Go the patterned strip and hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the font layer.
Apply Eyecandy 5/ Gradient glow, choose the colour of your floodfill with these settings.
If you don't have gradient glow you can achieve a similar effect with a blurry coloured dropshadow. Take your font tool again, I chose white for the fill and add your name again
or a quote in a script font. Add a dropshadow. Merge visible. Apply AAA Frames/Foto Frame, a width of 8 worked for me. Add credits and save as a jpg.
You can also use this tut to make a forum set. Adjust the sizes accordingly and arrange the items a little differently.
