Supplies:
Paintshop Pro (I use V9)
Tube of choice, mine is by Jussta and used with a MyTubedArt license
A Scrap Kit, mine is by MizTeeque and it's a freebie called New Year 2011.
Font(s) of choice, mine is Cocktail Script
Filters Xero Iridium for the name.
Mask BeckyMask36, it's in zip2
You should have some knowledge of working with layers for this, although this is an easy quickie tag.
Open one of the frames from the kit, make a copy (shift+D), resize all layers, set the pixels per inch to 72,000 and the percentage to 60%. I always resize bicubic.
Go to Image/Canvas size and set to 520x520, centered. Take your magic wand, tolerance and feather set to 0. Click inside the frame, and expand the selection by 3, invert selection.
Now paste a paper onto your canvas, drag the layer underneath the frame and hit delete on your keyboard. Then also paste your tube as a new layer. You probably need to resize this, go in smallish steps, so it doesn't get all wobbly and weird.
When happy hit delete on your keyboard. Give the tube and the frame layers dropshadows.
Paste a different paper as your bottom layer and apply the mask, merge group. Take one of the wordarts, cut it from the original with your selection tool.
Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Your choice if you prefer it above or below your tube. Selections/Select all/Float/Defloat. Add a new layer and floodfill
the selection with a colour from your tube. Deselect and delete the original black wordart layer.
Now add elements of choice, for the doodles place one at the left top, duplicate and mirror, merge down, duplicate, flip, merge down and add a dropshadow.
When happy, resize the entire tag by 85%, add all credits legibly.
Add your name, I used two colours from the tag, with the stroke set to 2. When done, convert to raster layer, apply
Xero Iridium twice at default settings, add a dropshadow and save as a transparent png file.
My second example uses the art of James Courtney, I have his personal permission. ;o) Mask is No22, also by Becky.
The font is DJ Lex.
