Supplies:
Paintshop Pro (I use V9)
Tube of choice, a close up, mine is by Daniel Esparza and used with a CDO license.
Scrap Kit, mine is Twilight by Seven's Scraps and you must purchase it to get creative with it.
Template is by Cindy and Linda
Masks 187 Insatiable Dreams.
Font(s) of choice, mine are Bank Gothic Light and Bank Gothic MD
Open the template, make a copy by pressing shift+d on your keyboard, close the original. Delete the credits and all the wordart layers, resize all layers by 85%. Open your tube. Mine only is half a face.
Make the template active, hide all layers except the mask one. Make it active.
Now you will record a script. You may have to put that in your tools first. Go to View/Toolbar and click on script. Now click on the little circle in that toolbar.
That will start your recording. Now Selections/Select All, Selections/Float, Selections/Defloat/ Selections/Invert. Once you did that click on the little floppy disk icon
to save your script. I named mine TempLayerSelect. That's it.
Ok, the mask layer has a selection, paste a paper from your kit as a new layer. Hit delete on your keyboard and delete the original template layer. Deselect. Now go up to the next temp layer,
select it by pressing play on the script and paste a paper a new layer again. Repeat this for all the circles.
On inner black rectangle, select just like the circles, but paste your tube as a new layer, if it overhangs delete, leave the black recatangle underneath.
The next layer is a rectangle above your tube, change the colour of it with Adjust/Color Balance/Manual Color Correction. Click in the target box of the dialog box and pick a colour from the kit or tube. OK.
Do the same with with the pink frame and the bottom grained rectangle.
Change the bottom black to a paper like you did the circles, I made mine a bit smaller with the raster deform (pick) tool, so more of the underneath one was visible. Last change the stars to a paper too.
Crop merged opaque and then go to Image/Canvas size and expand to 600x550. Add a dropshadow to all layers apart from the visible bottom one, the mask. Make the hidden background active and paste a paper from your kit.
Apply the mask by Cat. Merge group. I also added a blood splatter and a crow from the kit to my tag. Resize the tag to a size you like. Add some words to match the tube at the bottom and put your name in the box. Resize now if you wish to.
Add all credits legibly, crop merged opaque and save as png.
My second example features art by Ismael Rac, Mask191 by Cat at Insatiable Dreams and the kit is Summer Vintage by Aimee Harrison. The font is Mrs Saint-Delafield.
