Supplies:
Paintshop Pro (I use V9)
Image of choice, mine is by Collin Bogle and used with a personal permission.
A Scrap Kit, mine is by Pam Lefors and was a freebie called Cecily, which is sadly not available anymore. This is not a problem though, simply choose a kit, whose colours match your image, that has a paper, a wide ribbon and some elements like flowers and buttons. If you use a big size scrapkit, where papers are 3600x3600, please see my tut on resizing, in the How Do You Do That? section.
Font(s) of choice, mine is Feena Casual
Filter AAA Frames/ Foto Frame & Texture Frame, which is totally optional.
You should have some knowledge of working with layers for this.
This is quite a basic tutorial, but I was asked to tut the tag up by a lovely friend of mine, you know who you are. ;o)
Okay. Open your image, the scrapkit and a new canvas 600x250 or your prefered size and dimensions. I resized my image so the height wasn't taller than my new canvas. Then I applied the AAA Frames/Fotoframe with a width of about 6 to it. You can frame it however you wish. Even use a frame from a scrapkit. But Collin Bogle is quite specific in his TOU, and he doesn't allow much else than what I did.
Copy and paste your image on your new canvas, Image/Rotate/Free Rotate Right, 15%, all other options unchecked. Adjust/Sharpen/Unsharp Mask: Radius 0,68, Strength 55, Clipping 2. Place roughly how I placed mine, you will probably adjust this again slightly. Make the bottom layer active, it is blank. Copy and paste a patterned paper as a new layer. Resize if the pattern seems too overwhelming. Next take a wide ribbon and paste it onto the paper, move it to the top of your canvas. Duplicate and flip, give both of these a dropshadow.
Now take the elements you have chosen, and place them in a cluster formation into the top left corner of your tag. Make sure they are not all the same size. Give all of those a dropshadow. Now move the image to its final place. Crop merged opaque. If necessary- resize now. Add all credits legibly and also add your name. Give that a dropshadow also. Save as a jpg.
If you are making a forum set, hit shift+d to make a duplicate of your tag. Set your crop tool to 150x150 and move the square about on your tag until you see a portion you like for your avatar. Crop. Delete any layers which you don't want showing. Merge visible. Add a frame, I chose AAA Frames/ Texture Frame. Add credits and your initial or name. Save as jpg.
For my second example I used art by Marta Dahlig-Orlowska, with a personal permission, and a freebie kit called AutumnRomance by Cinnamon Scraps. Font is Halfmoon.

For my third example I used art by Barbara Jensen, with a license I bought from her site, and a freebie kit called SnowPrincess by Cinnamon Scraps. Font is Gothikka.
